On the Trail to Moonlight Gulch is a beautiful, slow paced historical story with believable characters and (thankfully) not many (or no graphic and detailed) sex scenes – which was exactly the right decision for this kind of story.
What I didn’t like so much: **Spoiler** The first chapters, even though they showed us how Tory lived in Chicago, could have been a little bit shorter. For me, the real story started when Tory read the advertisements in the magazine. There’s also the ending, which was in my opinion too perfect. Every evil person died, Wicasha found love (actually I’m quite happy he did!) and Tory and Franklin have their HEA without really talking about what happened.
